Remote Assistance cannot connect. "Waiting for an answer..."

Hello folks. I have a tricky one and have spent ages trying to figure this out. Trying to Offer Remote Assistance on our domain and the request is getting stuck "Waiting for an answer..." and no other error messages appear. It hasn't even tried to auto login with the HelpAssistant account.

We have an XP Pro SP2 build which was created using the WinPE process and I am running tests with a "vanilla" build XP Pro SP2 build. Vanilla offering to WinPE machines doesnt connect but if I offer Remote Assist from the WinPE machine to vanilla it all works fine and HelpAssist account can login.

I have trawled thru the Group Policies, Local Security and various other options /settings to confirm they are identical on both machines, but still no fix. Port 3389 is open and no firewalls are running between either machine.

Any help would be much appreciated.
