Windows XP remain signed in

Help please, I have suddenly lost the facility to remain signed in on ebay. I suspect the problem is not directly to do with ebay rather than Windows.
In ebay preferences there is definitely a tick in the "remain signed in box"
In IE 7 Tools- Privacy- Advanced I have selected "override auto cookie handling" and selected "always allow cookies"
But definitely I leave ebay even for a couple of minutes I have to go through the whole sign in procedure again. It used to work fine, cant think of anything thats changed.

I always have this problem too on ebay
the user name is always there
but the password I have to type.


it is very annoying
