websites don't work/cookie problem

Christine

Ever since I upgraded to IE6 and downloaded all of the
updates on Microsoft's site, my IE has been crazy. I
can't use Ebay or shop online - everything is fine until I
try to sign in or add something to my basket. On sites
where I used to be able to click on links, the links will
be inactive. I'm also having problems with cookies. For
instance, I can't sign into my Yahoo email account - keep
getting the message that my browser is rejecting the
cookies, even when I set privacy to the lowest setting or
override all cookie handling.

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Well I'm glad it's not just me who can't log onto BT-
Yahoo or E-Bay without getting the "Your browser is not
accepting cookies message".
I have been through all the Security Settings, checked
the time & date, deleated the stored cookies & ran the
sfc/scannow programe etc..etc..
I can't delete my Cookies Folder (as suggested) as it
says it's part of windows & won't delete !
I have also looked at the recomendations with regard to
changing the registry, but the instructions only cover up
to IE5 !!
Any further ideas anyone ???
