cookies

Recently whenever I try to sign in to yahoo or some other
web sites I getthis message; The browser you're using
refuses to sign in.(cookies rejected) I have reset my
privacy setting to accept all cookies and this still does
not help. I am using IE6 with windows xp can any one
please help me ? It got so bad that I had to install
Netscape
