reinstalling Windowsxp

After Windows xp was installed I returned the disk to its
holder and found it to have a crack in the middle of the
disk. It was returned and was promptly exchanged for a
new one.
I never installed the new disk because many programs have
been installed and I don't want to loose them and have to
reinstall them. Is there any way I can install the new
disk and register and activate it without having to
reinstall all the programs?

There is no need.
The disk should be identical to the old disk.
You also should use the same Product Key.
