xp reinstall with lsasse

After installing a new HD in my Acer laptop, I realized I don't have the
reinstall disks that came with the machine. I do have a upgrade copy of XP
Pro and an original Milineium Edition to verify the install. Now I get a
lasse.exe error while booting up. I don't think the original install ever
went to completion. How can I wipe the disk, reformat it and install XP Pro?
Does Acer REQUIRE thier disks? Iget get to a prompt or desktop. Any
suggestions?

XP Upgrade CD use RETAIL CD keys and the CD key stuck on the Acer is
OEM. You will need to locate the Acer CDs to use the Acer CD key.
You should be able to request s new set of CD for Acer, for a fee.
