Reinstalling windows XP

Ok, my Windows XP home editon I was reinstalling failed
with 25 minutes to go. Every time I attempt to restart
the installation it fails at the same place. I have been
informed that if I delete the Partition with the failed
install, it will wipe my hard drive. Does anyone know how
I can reinstall a fresh copy of Windows XP without
deleting my drive?

Does it show any error message?and is the installation cd okay?
