Reinstalled outlook 2003; Contacts inaccessible now

Having just reformatted my PC and reinstalled everything, I'm having
problems with Outlook (2003). When I create a new email, and want to
look up an email address by clicking the "To" button, it can't find my
Contacts list and generates an error message (I've uploaded a screen
dump of the mesage here:

My Contacts are definitely there, as I can click on the top level
folder 'Contacts' and bring them up there; however they aren't tied to
the email system and i can't figure out how to do that. Help please!!

Thanks
David

right click on the contacts folder and choose properties, then enable it for
the address book. you'll also need to go into the Address book's tools,
options to delete the old one from the list.

That's terrific, thanks very much: I'm sure I'd never have worked that
out (and believe me I've been trying!)

I cannot believe how much hassle it's been to reinstall the identical
version of Outlook while retaining all my settings - nothing else on the
entire computer has caused me any problems at all. With Outlook I've
had the above problem; also an incredible amount of hassle reinstating
my numerous user accounts - I found via googling that the only way round
that was to import them into Outlook Express then reimport them (singly)
back into Outlook. Unbelievable. Why can't MS sort this out?
