I tried to clean up my PC. I've formatted the harddisk.
Now i get a black screen after 5 minutes after installation from CD-ROM has
been started.
The installation stops at "Installation of apparatus"

Thnx for reply, but i'm not getting any further.
Installation fails after first 5 muinutes.
(Installing apparatus/hardware)

Harry;
Is there any indication what "apparatus/hardware" is?
Whatever it is, you should remove/disconnect it.

Has Windows XP ever been installed on this computer before?
If so and you made hardware changes afterward, change them back.

You can also try removing all unnecessary cards such as NIC, sound, modem
etc.
They can be installed after Windows XP installation.

That's what I've tried allready.
Modem and USB-card are the only cards, the rest is integrated on the
motherboard.
I've disconnected the cards, but still the same point got blackscreen.
XP was installed before and without any problem.
I only wanted to clean up my PC by clearing the harddisk.
