Reinstall questions

I bought and installed XP Pro Upgrade (as an upgrade, not a new install)
over an existing install of XP Pro. Didn't lose any data or settings. I
think the old install was pirated. The old install had SP1. Do I need to
reinstall SP1? How can I tell if it's on the machine? Windows Update doesn't
list it as needed, but I don't recall if it ever did.

Right click on "my computer" see if sp1 is listed. If your
new copy of XP is not SP1 then yes you need to reinstall
it.
