I've developed a registry error (while trying to
partition and format a new slave hard drive) and don't
know how to fix it. I can't boot in safe mode or
in "last good config" mode. I attempted use the recoery
console when booting from the Windows XP CD but that also
gave me the same blue screen. I even attempted to
refromat the C: partition by booting from the CD but that
too failed. What can I do? There must be a way to boot
up the computer without needing to draw any resources
(such as this damaged registry) from the hard drives so I
can then reformat the C: partition and start from
scratch. I'm confused as to why I get the blue screen
when I try this. The computer is new and has been
running without a hitch for 6 omnths. Any help out there
for a boggled mind?
P.S. the blue3 screen contains the following info:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut
down to prevent damage to your computer.
REGISTRY_ERROR
if this is the first time......
