Registry Error

Is there any way I can repair the the registry, I get a
blue screen on boot that reads, REGISTRY_ERROR
STOP: 0x00000051 (0x00000003,
0x00000003,0x00000000,0xE1590000)

I should have mentioned that I am running WinXP Home
edition, does this apply?
