Registry back loading available?

Looking to load a previous registry saved last week in winxp-pro while in
dos since I can't view windows currently. I tried the F8 option but it
doesn't load an old enough version. Is such a procedure available in dos or
recovery console as it is in windows?

Did you save an older version of the registry (Regedit --> Export???)
