Registering Access

I tried to install Office pro 97 over office pro 2000 -
which made a mess, so I uninstalled 2000, reinstalled 97,
uninstalled 97, reinstalled 97. Finally everything works
except Access won't open. Comes up with "Microsoft Access
can't start because there is no license for it on this
machine." All other apps work fine. Reinstalling: nada;
reinstalled Windows 98SE: nada. SR2 installed fine:
nada. Access won't budge.

Any comments??
