refilling cartridges

Jim

When I used Epson printers I always refilled my own cartridges but since
getting a Canon Pixma MP110, I cant see a way to get the top off the BCI 24
tanks,
Anyone know if there is a tool to cut the tops off.
Cheers.
Jim.

A chisel and hammer will work.
(I could not resist.)

Just break the top off. and don't pay attention to whatever "advice"
measekite offers he is the resident troll who has he delusion that
refilling ink cart will bring armaggedon to the whole planet. Long
before I killfiled him, he has yet to explain why the manual for some
ink jet printer did state refilling does NOT void warranty.

i saw that printer at frys. it looks sort of trashy. if a mfp is a
must the 830 looks nice. the 110 is not worth bothering with. happy
leaking.

i never saw that in the canon manual but i did see that the use of any
product that ruins the printer will void the warranty.

Yes, I got the speech from canon the last time I spoke to them when I
said I was using office depot inkjet paper, as well as the kirkland
photo paper. I asked them if they wanted me to do a nozzle check on
Canon double sided matte paper, and they said "not for nozzle check".

In Hong Kong they say that riots which cause damage to the printer are
not covered under warranty. But this doesn't mean if your head got
clogged during a riot the warranty is void.

does anyone knows how to reset a waste ink absorber on a canon pixma
Mp110?

Turn on the printer
(1) Press MENU
(2) Press SCAN COPY SCAN to enter service mode
(3) USE > to go to NVRAM ACCESS
(4) set ABS-M LEVEL to 0
(5) set ABS-P LEVEL to 0
(6) Press STOP to EXIT
