Recycle Bin

Hi,

Vista Ultimate. Things that I put into the recycle bin don't show up when I
open it! The icon changes to indicate items are in the bin and I've got the
option to "empty the recycle bin" but it's a bit unnerving when you don't
know what you're deleting. This has never worked correctly since
installation. Is there a fix for this?

Right click on the Recycle Bin and look at the Properties. Make sure it's not
set to delete files immediately and bypass the bin. Also check for any addon
program like Norton.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for your reply. The option to bypass the bin is not selected and I
don't use Norton software. The problem here is that items are going into the
bin, I know this because the bin icon changes and the option to "empty the
bin" is available and works (I get confirmation of deletion) but when you
open the bin nothing, no icons are shown.
