Recognizing Programs

I am trying to get Windows XP to open files with an indd extension with Adobe
InDesign. When I go into the properties and browse for the program to select
it, I find it and select. However, Windows does not recognize this selection
and no changes are made. Any suggestions?

When you rightclick a *.indd file icon, Properties, Open_with, the Put a check in "Always use this...." checkbox, the Browse to an
app should "Apply" If that is failing, I would try a Repair setup.
