Icons for an Upgraded Program

M

I loaded in an updated program (Adobe InDesign CS4) and uninstalled the
original. All of the file icons for it went to an icon for an unknown
program. I went to one of the files, right clicked, chose "properties" and
hit "change" where the unknown icon was shown. It was not in the opening
list. So, I went and looked up the program, found it, selected it and hit
"ok", but the program was not added to the list. I did this a couple of
times, but the program was never added to the list of programs. I couldn't
choose the InDesign CS4 program to open with. I wanted to find out how to do
this, but haven't been able to find anything.

Can someone help me with this?
Thanx

There SHOULD be a place in InDesign to set file preferences. Look for
it.
