RECEIVING EMAIL

I CAN SEND BUT NOT RECEIVE EMAIL, ON MY NEW COMPUTER WITH VISTA.
I DO NOT RECEIVE ANY ERROR MESSAGES.
I HAVE TRIED TURNING OFF EMAIL SECURITY SCAN (NORTON). I BELIEVE MY POP3
SETTING IS CORRECT FOR USE WITH COMCAST. ??????

Turning Norton's email scanner off will not help. You must completely
uninstall Norton, then do a custom re-install so you can prevent all the
email scanning features/modules from being installed.

so i set up my windows mail to correspond with my school's webmail service
(Zimbra). and i can now send mail, but i can't receive it. im sure i have the
outgoing server information correct. Could it possibly be the incoming server
info that wont allow me to receive messages to my Windows Mail account? how
do you figure the incoming server? or is it a security problem? Thanks

Does your school publish the incoming mail server name and its
settings for POP access? Obviously, we can't begin to help unless
we know the identity of the school so we can research its online
support information.
