reading dvd on host

is it possible to rad the dvd drive from the 2nd computer
to the host computer, as i wish to install software,
which is dvd format, and the 2nd cmputer has no dvd
drive , so hence the question

It is possible to share a DVD drive on the host computer just like any other
drive on the host computer for DATA.

Trying to view a DVD through a network connection does not work with Win DVD
version 4. Just tried it.
