RDA or Merge Replication with ActiveSync Trigger

I've got Active Sync v. 3.8 (USB cable connection) & I want to have my SQL
Server CE tables push & pull when activesync runs. I've got everything set
up to occur when the device is cradled and I click a button on the handheld
but I cannot get things set up to automatically push & pull when activesync
starts. In reality the only thing that I would like activesync to do is pull
& pull data to and from the device to my enterprise database. Can someone
please direct me on how to set this up. Also, some of the devices will use
just an ethernet cable so I'd like to know how to push & pull automatically
when these devices are cradled as well.

Hi Nick,

You can detect ActiveSync connection from the registry, the key is
HKLM\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\ppp_peer
I think you need to check the activesync connection from registry and
start the sync process to pull and push the data to entreprise
database.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Arun.

Is there any way to monitor for this on the handheld device? I'd like to
have the handheld monitor for a valid connection to the db & upon a valid
connetion begin it's synchronization process.
