I am getting random pop-ups on my desktop, prompting me to clean up my hard
drive(s).
This happens even after I have cleaned the drives. I've searched everywhere,
but can't seem to find what is causing this. The pop-up looks authentic, and
the process in Task Manager appears to be valid.
Here is a link to a screenshot of the pop-up.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

You've got crapware from somewhere. Run Spybot S&D, then HijackThis.
SWI Forums will help you interpret the output from HijackThis. Start

If you can identify the process generating it, get Process Explorer
from http://www.sysinternals.com (free) - you can look at the modules
in a process and find out who wrote them.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the suggestions, however, running both Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware
found nothing.
(I haven't tried HijackThis yet, but I will.)
I've disabled anything suspicious in Start Up, and it's still there.
I'm beginning to think that the legitimate process is being triggered by
something benign, but "buggy."
Since I have around 80 processes running, I am reluctant to start a "binary
chop", however, if it
starts to bug me enough I guess I will have to do it!
