qksrv.net keeps popping up on URL line:
Recently I have been having problems with "qksrv.net"
appearing on the URL line. It supercedes what is supposed
to be there and prevents me from advancing forward or
backward on browser screens. How do I get rid of this
menace?

First make sure that your virus definition table is up to date and run it.

It may be a parasite:

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, then copy and paste both files in your message.

Allo, Henri

Good chance it's a *new* malware from commission-junction, Mike and I have been
discussing this, there have been a number of similar posts in this NG lately
complaining of similar happenings.

"CJ" can be fully block by HOSTS, btw.
