POP UP ADD ATTACHED TO BROWSER

M

Mike

I have a pop up add that I know is attached to my IE6.0
browser. It pops up each time I go on line. I have
changed Home pages and it still pops up and that is how I
determined that its attached to the browser and not
associated with any one Home page. The add always has
the same URL: http://ads.x10.com/xstream Can anyone tell
me how to get rid of this.
Thanks!

This could be the reference in the registry and the files associated with
it.

Mike,
Your problem exists from "ClearStream Accelerator"

Looks like this in HijackThis:

O16 - DPF: {00000000-0000-0000-1234-012398761234} (ClearStream Accelerator)
- hxxp://www.riversoftware.net/x0ff.cab (URL disabled)

FYI: "riversoftware.net" and "x10" = same company

You have probably inadvertently downloaded and installed adware,
spyware, parasite, trojan or a browser hijacker from some web site:
