Well a few things that i found to with Vista RC1

For Anti-Virus I used AVG and it installed with no problems :)

AVast DID NOT WORK on RC1 :(

When installing RC 1 it loaded drivers for my Audigy 2 card which loaded
fine but everything showed me i had sound but i could not hear anything, so i
downloaded the Vista Beta drivers from creatives site and it worked perfect :)

I loaded TeamSpeak for windows and that is working fine also

I've got AVG running also but I have to give it permission at every restart.
Vista blocks it from the startup list. I thought I had solved the problem.
It will run but I have to tell the computer to unblock it at startup. Would
be nice to get rid of that problem. I have the newest program, which is
supposedly after Microsoft and Grisoft resolved some kind of problem. I have
the pre-RC1 so maybe that has something to do with it. Otherwise, I'm
enjoying the experience. I've been working with the voice recognization
stuff currently. It's got a learning curve for sure.

Thank you! I couldn't get the Trend Micro to install, even though it worked
well in Beta 2. Also, couldn't uninstall the PC-cillin from Trend Micro.

Went to the Grisoft AVG and found a trial that was released 9-7-2006 (today)
for Vista and downloaded and installed it without a hitch.

Somewhere in a post below it was mentioned to install by right clicking the
application and installing as administrator. Have you tried doing that?

Correction! AVG wouldn't let me download e-mail in MS Office Outlook 2007 -
Uninstalled it and e-mail worked perfectly.

I e-mailed Trend Micro about getting it to work with RC1, and to my surprise
got a wonderful answer giving me the step by step uninstall method, and
re-install. PC-cilling is now installed and working perfectly. Must say i was
impressed by the follow thru by Trend Micro. They even asked me to write back
to let them know if it worked. Of course i did with a big 'Thank you'.
