Is there any software out their that can get rid of my problem. My home page
constantly diverts to syssecuritysite.com even when the home page yahoo.com.
I have tried many programs, but have not found one that takes care of my
situation. I would like to get rid of it cost free if possible. Does it sound
like it is a new virus, spyware, or something. If so, does it sound like I
could wait for a bit until someone comes up with a solution? It doesnt appear
to effect my computer at all but am not share if it will in the future. Is
there anyway to uninstall the internet explorer and reinstall.

I don't know for sure if this will fix the problem but try scanning in Safe
Mode also and be sure to use the latest definitions for any program you scan
with. If you have not tried AdAware SE and Spybot Search and Destroy they
are worth trying. If nothing seems to work it may be a new spyware issue and
probably addressed in the near future. I would also check your hosts file in
windows\system32\drivers\etc to see if there are any entries for Yahoo.com
and others that may try to redirect your to other websites. Normally the
hosts file has only localhost listed in it for 127.0.0.1. You can use
notepad to view and edit the hosts file but make sure you save it with no
extension. You could also search the registry for syssecuritysite.com and
then edit the start page value that contains it if found to be yahoo.com to
see if that helps. Logon as an administrator and use regedit to open the
registry editor. The go to edit/find to search the registry. --- Steve

if you are using an xp macheine you could use system restore and restore your
system to an earlier date if you can remember when this first started
happening.....it sounds like you have some spyware that took over your start
page
