Excel Typed text appears in wrong cell

I created a new spreadsheet to use for taking inventory. Often (not always), when I type text in one cell, it appears two cells below. I've attached clip of what the cell looks like when I type and text appears in another cell. The cell highlight is offset in clip A. In clip B, when I type, text appears in row 47, instead where I wanted it in row 44. In clip C, the cell highlight is not offset and when I type, text will appear correctly in that cell. I can get rid of this offset cell by scrolling up and down through the page. If I'm not constantly checking my input, my inventory will be incorrect.

Hope someone can help.
