PROGRAM CANNOT BE REMOVED

I have a program visible in "Add or Remove a Program" that is not on my C:
drive. Nothing comes up even when making a search for this particular
program. I have tried to delete it in "Add or Remove" but nothing happens -
the processor light is permanently on and the computer locks out. Even Ctl
Alt Delete does nothing. All I can do is to reboot.
Please help!

Download and run Process Explorer, and start it up *before* you do whatever
it is that locks up the machine. Pay close attention to what is getting
all the CPU cycles. That's where to start to look.
