You're assuming a lot about me that you don't know, and that isn't true.
You're attitude of "Gee, my cow just died. I think I'll blame it on the old
lady 2 miles away and have her burned at the stake as a witch" would have fit
right in a couple hundred years ago.

My post had to do with the attitude of the replies. The original poster had
a valid argument. He didn't want something for nothing. But all the answers
from the support group sounded as if they thought "big brother" was watching
and they wanted to be sure he knew they agreed with him...right or wrong. And
you straight out called the poster a liar.

I won't get into an argument or debate with you about computers. I don't
have the knowledge to do so. But I am capable of knowing when people are
wearing blinders and refusing to even acknowledge that there may be another
side to an issue.

Mmm...seems to me that you yourself are "ducking". The point is that if you
bought a hamburger at MacDonald's, you can't go complain about its quality
at Burgerking. It's just that simple and any other argument about it has to
do with prejudice. Peace.

Richard, I just got off the phone with Microsoft Customer Service at (800)
936-5700. (might be different in the U.K.) I had a 3-disc set for MS Office
XP Pro w/Publisher 2002 and had not been given the Product Key. The program
was installed in the computer my company had built. I spent about 5 minutes
on the phone at the number above answering questions regarding my name,
company, etc. I then was put on hold for 2 minutes and then given a new
Product code. And it works. And there was no charge.

This just confirms every thought I am currently thinking and quite a few
I have thunked.

Q: OEM?
Ans: = bodyswerve

Stick with those whom have a notion and inclination about what they are
doing...

And the integrity and charm to support it

What you wrote is probably either profoundly interesting or hilariously
funny...to those who understand what you're saying. If you're implying my
product was not a Microsoft product, think again. And WHAT is a bodyswerve?

Well, I was going to ask for help because I have an Office XP 3 disc set that
had been installed on my computer for about 4 years when my computer went
down. In that time I have had 3 kids and moved twice. I still have the discs
but not the OEM. Now I can't install it. But based on the tone of most of
these posts, I can see that I will be belittled or called a thief. If anyone
can actually offer help and not charges, please respond.

If you do not have the Product Key - but the product is actually still
installed somewhere:

Belarc Advisor

Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder v1.41
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml

Magical JellyBean Keyfinder v1.5B3 (Newer Version of above)
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/kfbeta.shtml

That should get you the key it was installed with.. This time - keep it
safe.
