Hi,
After installing MS Office 2007 Standard tonight (and the time adjust and
desktop search add-ons) my CPU was running close to 100% all the time and
noticed that a process called "msiexec.exe" is the culprit. It was set to
Priority Boost and after un-checking this Priority Boost, it is only taking
about 3-5%. What is this program for and could it be removed without
affecting other MS programs? I have since removed the Desktop Search add-on
but this msiexec.exe is still there. It resides in the Windows/System
folder.
Thanks, Bob
