msiexec.exe What is this?

Have been unable to find msiexec.exe using Search, but see
it in Task Manager and appears to have an inordinate number
of page faults during boot up (over 130,000). Anybody know
what the mystery .exe is and is a page fault figure like
this out of the ordinary ? TXIA.

MSIExec.exe is the executable service that runs the
Microsoft Windows Installer service. It needs to run
occasionally either during installation of software
deployed withe Windows Installer, or to verify package
information. It does not need to run constantly.
Page faults are of no concern as they aren't an error
condition, merely part of your computer's normal
operations.

Thankyou. I've been having some irregularities at Start-up
and am slowly narrowing down my search for the problem. You
just cleared up one of my major lingering doubts.
