Problems with startup

I cannot get my computer to startup properly.
I keep getting a blue screen, with the message that windows has encountered
a problem.
Followed by NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS

Any ideas what I can do to rectify this

Although this artcle is for Windows 200 it relates to XP as well.
