There is something wrong with my drives because whenever i
put a music cd in, there's always skips. It's not the
sound card or speakers because my other songs that i
already had on my computer work fine, but the cd's that i
play always skip on both of my drives. Can anyone helP?

The key statement you made was "...skip on both of my
drives". Check your CD. Play it in a CD player like your
automobile's or a portable player or something other then
the computer. If it skips its' the CD if not it's
probably the CDROM device.

If it is the CDROM, they are not repairable and they only
cost about $20.00 and up now.

Another posibility is the processor overhead required for reading your
drives requires that it stop processing music. You could try "Enabling
CD digital audio" in the CDROM drive properties in the Device Manager.
