I am running WinXP with WMP11 and trying to burn MP3's to CD.

When I burn a music CD the first 3-5 songs always seem to play fine but all
the songs afterwards have gaps or areas where they sound like they are
skipping.

Tried copying WMA files direct to CD and works fine and plays ok so I don't
think it is a hardware problem with the CDRW. Any ideas on what I can try to
fix it?
Thanks

A few pointers :

In your first sentence you say you're burning mp3's to CD. As audio or data
files ? Are you trying to transform them "on the fly" ?

In your second sentence you say your music CD's that you burned (audio
files) skip. Make sure you've turned all programmes that may be running in
the background (AntiVirus, Firewall) and that you ain't connected to the
internet. Also reduce the burn speed (Tools > Options > Burn Speed).

Cheers,
Jerry
