problems with outlook 2000

Hi I have a big bad problem with outlook 2000, after 3 years of emails
collected and put into various folders in the outlook programme. this is the
second time it has happened, I don't recieve anymore mails and outlook gives
me an error telling me to contact the administrator. the last time it
happened I had to format the pc... is there another way of resolving this
problem?

What error message do you get? What type of account are you using? How big
is your pst-file?
