I have been reading about several problems like this
recently that previously working installs all of a suddon
stop working. this has also happened to me and it seems
like the last round of critical updates is the cause.
Does MS have any fixes for this?!?!?!?!

What problems are you experiencing? The only W2K server sp4 problems I'm
aware of are with printing. This hotfix is available for that one
<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;830764>.

there are a few posts on this forum alone that with OS9
clients all of a sudden in the last few days that there
have been problems with OS9 and Win2K saying that the
connection with the server has been broken. To me anyway
the problems seem to be right after this last giant round
of hotfixes. Maybe others can back me up on this??

I think there is a good chance there is a connection between the hotfix
install and the problems with OS9 clients.

I guess I'll try and find the time to set up a test box and remove
these patches one at a time till i find out which one breaks it.

I tried removing all of the last batch with no success.

Try the follow ...

As you select the Win2k server under chooser, Option click on the ok
button to bring up the login window. Log in as per normal.

It worked for us.

Cheers!
