Problems running Norton Antivirus

I installed the SP2 pack on my computer about 2 months ago (my computer was
only about 1 month old at the time) and ever since then, I cant run my Norton
Antivirus 2005 program. If I try to load it up, it just displays the main
screen and none of the buttons work. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling
it, but now when the computer loads up a configure/register screen for Norton
antivirus pops up, and when I try to click the "next " button it wont do
anything. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Symantec web site would be the first place to start. I noticed just
the other day that they have a page about sp2 update and how it
affects nortons 2005.

I tried that already, but the page just says, basically, that all the norton
products should work fine with SP2. My friend also has the same problem on
his computer, so I dont think it's an issue with the actual antivirus program
or my hardware.

For problems with Symantec Av, the site often reccomends the complete
removal, there is usually info on the site for how to manually remove..
