norton antivirus

I have windows xp,i have been trying to run a scan on my pc,with norton
antivirus 2007.I keep getting an error message "3038,107".I tried to run a
scan using safe mode,it was ok.Normal mode,it does not work.

The number is a Norton error number. You should be able to click on the
number which puts you on their web. On their web enter the number (or it
might already be entered) which will explain what was wrong.
