problems publishing in FP 2003

I am trying to publish my site but it keeps defaulting to the ftp remote web
server. I simply can't publish. I want to delete that option and go back to
using the FrontPage or SharePoint Services. How do I do this?

Are you using File | Publish site, and inputting the appropriate URL? Are
FP server extensions installed on the remote/host server?

In that case FP wont change the URL to an FTP URL.
Sure you are not using the Publish button which publishes to the last
destination you entered?

Sounds like the server extensions are corrupted, which means it will default
to the FTP mode.

Run a health check & repair the server ext - this is done either via your
host helpdesk, or through the control panel for your hosting account
(some/most should allow this sort of thing, to reinstall the FP extensions).
