Problems after using Standby?

Hi
I think I read somewhere (could have been in this newsgroup) that using
Standby or Hibernate could cause problems with the operating system on some
machines. Does anyone have any ideas on this ?

none....

if windows detects a system incompatibility
issue, these special power management options will
be unusable.

however, hibernation does require some space
in addition to that amount of space used by
the pagefile. basically, the hibernation file
will store all the contents in ram, so the file
size of the hiber.sys file is equal to the amount
of ram...
