XP stopped hibernating

XP Home w/SP3

System used to go into Standby then Hibernate as the settings used. For
whatever reason it will not do this anymore. There have been no changes
in memory (read somewhere that this problem comes up when over 1 GB of
memory is installed), used to hibernate, now it doesn't anymore. Any
suggestions will be appreciated....

How much free disk space is left on your hard drive?
Hibernation takes at least as much disk space as you have RAM in your
computer.

Upgrade and RAM Increase"

hibernation in Windows XP, in Windows Server 2003, in Windows Vista,
or in Windows Server 2008"
