Problem without solution c000021a

Lod Kiu

I've bought my license, then I've spend money to get windows installed
on my pc, meanwhile Mr. Gates earn money for my purchase and he sits
down on his seat.
I am also seat on my chair, but not counting my money, but driving
crazy with the product that Mr. Gates has sold on the market.
Now a question is coming up to me: why does he must earn money and I
must spend my time to solve the problem that Mr. Gates has not
resoled??? Is there an explanation for that situation?
I have got a problem and nothing on the net seem to find out the
solution.
The problem seems to be solved on the MS web site, but is not true.
I have got a problem:
STOP: c000021a [irreversible Error of system]
Process of system Windows Logon Process finished in attended way in
with state of 0xc0000135 (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been
closed

Looking around the solutions anything seems to be good to sole the
problem and right now did I had to format my hd because anybody from
microsoft have solve this problem???
In one thread I have seen that:
1)http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318159
2)http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330303/it
3)http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315341/it method #2

Well, in the first link 1) is written how to recovery a damage
registry, but they don't specify how is possible to recovery the
regsitry if anyone as not the possibility to access to windows...and
moreover, my Xp is updated and my version is Xp Sp2, therefore I don't
need to download again the service pack----> WICH OTHER SOLUTIONS?

In the second link 2) is talking about the error I get, but under W2K
and not in Windows Xp. But also they suggest to get the new service
pack...again as in the first link????

In the third link 3) method #2 Method 2: Reinstall Windows XP by
starting your computer from the Windows XP CD I have observed it is
impossible. In step 5 is written : Make sure that your current
installation of Windows XP is selected in the box, and then press R to
repair Windows XP.
BUT I DON'T HAVE THIS...THER IS NOT ANY "R" ON MY CD....

So, what other solution???? Also in the
http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm they advise to format the HD, because
MS HAS NOT find out how to solve this problem.!!!!!!!
So, money spent, time spent, my physical energy spent without a
solution...very good indeed!!!

I sense your frustration Pin. I do not know the correct solution because I
am not highly qualified but perhaps we need to start thinking out of the box
here and suggest radical stuff like formatting the C drive and just starting
afresh. Install your XP (and don't disregard the possibility that there is
a fault with your hard drive) and then upgrade it to SP2.

If you do suspect a fault with the HD then buy a new one (keeping the old
one in place) and install Windows on to that. That way you may still access
files that are on your old drive (by using safe mode, clicking properties,
and taking ownership).

I really hope that this helps but do appreciate that you may already have
been down this road!

Best wishes,

Jim

NEVER download any software that recommends you need it to "fix" the
problems it "finds" on your PC.

Be sure that you're not looking in the wrong place. If you have a retail CD,
it's there.

However, if your CD is a *restore* CD from an OEM, it may not have the
repair install.

If you can't do that, take the drive out and back it up to another system,
then put it back in (or put a new one in) and re-install. If your system
relies on a recovery partition, you have to use the original hard disk.

You won't be able to use an XP Home CD to repair a PRO install, for several
reasons. One is that the install key types won't match and setup will not
proceed, another is that Home is considered a downgrade so setup will not
proceed, and your OEM version won't match the Home retail version so setup
won't proceed. And if you get a PRO CD, that may not work either because
the setup key types won't match from retail to OEM.

I'd have to agree with teh suggestion that you try another hard disk and run
from your restore CDs. Afterwards you can copy your data back over. You
will, unfortunately, have to reinstall all applications.
