problem with totally uninstalling program

My problem is that I'm trying to uninstall my flat bed scanner because it shows that it's on there several times in the program directory. I need to get it all off so that I can reinstall it for Windows XP. I'm not sure on how to do this. So could someone please help me with this. Thanks Dawn.
Even if you need to email me to do so. I could use any help that I can get.

Uninstall the program, then delete all related files that have been
left on the HDD. Restart Windows and then reinstall the software.
