Problem with RAM Reg

Matteo Pieropan

Hi.
I have a problem with EWF RAM Reg Mode.
I build a image Windows Xp on Compact Flash 512MB FAT32 (one disk and one
partition)
I add the following components:
-Background Disk Defragmentation Disable
-Enhanced Write Filter (Setting: Number of Protected Volumes=1; Number of
Protected Volumes=1; EWF Partition Size in KBytes=0;Disable Background Disk
Defragmentation=Yes;Enable Hibernate-Once-Resume-Many Mode (HORM)=N; Start
EWF Enabled=N; Enable Lazy Write=N;Disk Number=0;Partition Number=1; Overlay
Type=RAM Reg; Optimization Option=Use Less Overlay Space)
-EWF Manager Console Application
-Registry Editor
-EWF NTLDR

I disable the FBA DLL/COM Registration of Enhanced Write Filter components.

I add the following registry keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\UpperFilters
format:REG_MULTI_SZ value:'volsnap','EWF'

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ewf\Parameters\Protected\Volume0\ArcName
format:REG_SZ value:multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ewf\Parameters\Protected\Volume0\Enabled
format:REG_DWORD value:0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ewf\Parameters\Protected\Volume0\Type
format:REG_DWORD value:0x00000001(1)

After FBA finish configuration, the system reboot but after this rebooting i
receive the following message on screen blue:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage.... STOP: 0x0000007B(0xF993F528,0xC000000E,0x00000000,0x00000000)"

PS: I have tried also with :
- Compact Flash 512 NTFS
- Optimization Option=Use Less Overlay Space and Less Write
- Optimization Option=Optimal Performance
but i have always the same error.

please... help me.

With FP2007, you don't have to disable the FBADLL.DLL or the extra registry
keys. The RAM Reg option for overlay type takes care of everything.
