problem with outlook6

Quite suddenly today, Outlook won’t download a message and I get this error
message;

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

Is there any way I can stop the message, which seems not to be downloading,
from blocking my other emails in the queue.

I am using outlook express 6 and have all the relevant updates. Up to this
afternoon my emails were downloading fine.

I am using outlook express 6

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress (for OE 6), or
an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're
accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support
Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
Good luck!

Thanks for the advice did not notice it was the wrong place.

That's OK - it's easily done! Thank goodness the name has been changed in
Vista.....

clouter,
This problem may also occur in Outlook too.

1. Go to your webmail interface for the acct, and check the messages there,
you may have a corrupted message in your mail Inbox.
2. You need to go through the obvious spam, and delete them, or any large
sized messages.
3. You may want to create a folder and move the message(s) into them, and
empty the Inbox there.
4. Then try downloading through Outlook (Express), again.
5. If it is sucessful, then try adding the messages back to the Inbox, that
you moved to a new folder on the webmail interface, in small groups, or one
at a time, and try downloading the acct through Outlook (Express), until you
find the damaged message.
6. Then delete the corrupted message.
