Error 0x800CCC0F

Please help. Each time I open Windows Mail the following error message
appears:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I've read the other questions on this error but not sure how to fix it.
This is a new laptop and I bought & installed Norton 360-is that the problem?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then uncheck the SSL option. Click OK.
