Problem with logon

I am unable to logon to Windows XP Home edition. This problem started
yesterday. When I turn on the laptop and arrive at the logon screen, it now
asks me for a password when I click on my name. If I leave it blank, I get
the following message, "the local policy of this system does not allow you to
logon interactively". I have attempted to logon in safe mode as
administrator and I get the same message. I have never set a password for
logon. Any thoughts?

You receive the 'The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively'?
