the local security policy of this system does not allow you to log

I get the error message "the local security policy of this system does not
allow you to logon interactively". I am running xp home edition. This just
started happening. I am unable to logon as administrator in safe mode either
(get the same error message). Passwords are correct (they are blank) and
that has been verified. Is there any way to change the security settings or
fix this problem, given that I am so far unable to logon? This is a stand
alone computer.

Thanks for the idea. I followed the steps, however that didn't work.
Evidently it isn't the wsaupdater.exe Now I am stuck again. I do have my
xp operating cd and can get to recovery console. Any ideas?
