Don A.

When I use IE and I try to open another window (such as a
Pdf file) or if there is a sudden pop up, my prior "main"
IE window is being closed completely.

What can I do to solve this problem, I keep on losing the
sites I am on.

I recommend using a different browser -- GreenBrowser
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/greenbrowser.html is my current favorite; I
never have the problem you describe when using GreenBrowser.

Don,
You must have a program running which is causing this.
Something like google toolbar, a pop-up blocker, ad-blocker, etc. Most of
these allow a new window if you use Ctrl+click or Shift+click.

From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> uncheck "Reuse windows
for
launching shortcuts." That may help.

Hope this helps,
Don

.I have already tried this to no avail. I have a program
called "nternet Optimizer"that has found its way onto my
computer. I went into Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs
and removed it but upon exploring my files i still see
the files for this program. Could this be my problem? It
wont let me delete these files. How do i delete it?

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
