Error when closing .pdf file from IE

R

ryeung

Two pop-ups constantly come up when I close PDF file loaded via IE
(I'm using IE 6.0):

1. Complaining some particular memory location cannot be read (or
maybe write?)
2. Clicking OK to terminate it results in a second pop-up: Error 216

These two pop-ups just alternate - as one is closed, the other pops up
again, and I can't
get rid of it. The IE. browser that spawns this new window for PDF
file viewing also
seems to crash.

Any idea? I've Mcafee installed which appears to have the latest anti-
virus definition files.

Thanks,
Raymond

Hi Ray,

Do you have Mcaffee Site Advisor installed and running? I think you can
turn it off with a setting or toolbar button, but I am unsure as I
uninstalled it long ago because it was problematic. If you are using WinXP
you can use the Addons Manager to disable the toolbar and Browser Helper.

Regards.
